What if my cat doesn't like The Post?
Not every cat adopts a new scratching post immediately—and that's completely normal. Cats can be particular about what they scratch and often need a little time to build a new routine.
Here are a few ways to encourage your cat to use The Post:
Place it where your cat already scratches, such as near a favorite piece of furniture or along a commonly traveled path.
Play nearby using your cat's favorite toy to naturally draw them toward The Post.
Transfer familiar scents by rubbing a blanket or other favorite item on a Panel.
Demonstrate the texture by gently scratching the fabric with your fingers.
Reward successful scratching with praise or a favorite treat.
Use catnip sparingly by lightly spraying or rubbing fresh catnip onto a Panel during the first few days.
Most cats begin incorporating a new scratching post into their routine with a little encouragement and consistency.
How tall is The Post?
The Post measures just over 33 inches tall.
Each scratching panel is 5½ inches wide, providing plenty of scratching surface on all four sides.
At just over 33 inches, The Post allows most cats to comfortably perform a full vertical stretch while scratching—one of the most natural and beneficial scratching behaviors.
The base measures 17 inches × 17 inches, giving The Post a compact footprint that fits comfortably in most living spaces while remaining stable.
Is The Post sturdy?
Yes. The Post weighs approximately 16 pounds and features a substantial 17 inch × 17 inch base, giving it excellent stability during normal use.
Our Head of Quality Assurance, Napoleon, regularly launches himself onto the side of The Post and climbs all the way to the top to perch. Throughout months of testing, The Post has remained impressively stable.
The Post is designed to stay planted while allowing your cat to scratch and fully stretch with confidence.
What materials is The Post made from?
The Post is built from premium 13-ply Baltic birch plywood for the base and top cap, with a durable birch plywood core.
Each replaceable Panel features high-density upholstery-grade foam wrapped in durable upholstery fabric, creating a satisfying scratching surface that's designed for everyday use.
What colors is The Post available in?
The Post is currently available in a natural Baltic birch finish.
Panels are available in White, Gray, and Gold, making it easy to personalize The Post to your space.
Additional finishes and colors may be available in the future.
Do I need to assemble The Post when I receive it?
Very little assembly is required. Simply attach the base to the column using the included four bolts and Allen key. The process takes about one to two minutes.
The base ships detached to reduce shipping costs.
Panels
How do I replace a Panel?
Replacing a Panel takes just seconds. Simply grab the top edge of the Panel and pull it away from The Post.
To install a new Panel, align it with the edges of the column and press firmly across the surface to secure it.
Each Panel is securely attached with heavy-duty hook-and-loop strips.
How often should Panels be replaced?
Panels are designed to typically last 3-6 months under normal everyday use. Actual lifespan will vary based on your cat's scratching habits and your preference for visible wear.
Can I replace only one Panel?
Yes. Cats often decide they have one favorite scratching spot. If only one Panel is showing wear, there's no need to replace the entire set. Simply purchase a single Panel.
If you'd like to save by stocking up on replacements, or refresh The Post with a new look, Panels are also available in sets of 2 and 4.
What tools do I need to replace a Panel?
No tools are needed to replace a Panel.
The only tool included with The Post is an Allen key for the one-time base assembly. Replacing Panels requires no tools.
How do I clean the Panels?
The Panels can be cleaned by vacuuming or lint rolling away loose hair and debris. For small spills or stains, gently blot the fabric with a damp cloth and mild soap. Allow the panel to air dry completely before use.
What Panel colors are available?
Panels are available in White, Gray, and Gold, making it easy to personalize The Post to your space.
Additional colors may be available in the future.

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. We offer free shipping on all orders within the contiguous United States.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days. Shipping times vary based on your location. You'll receive a tracking number by email once your order ships.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship within the contiguous United States.
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery.
Return shipping is complimentary for products that have not been used or scratched. Products showing signs of use, including scratching or wear to the upholstered Panels, may still be returned within 30 days, but return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.

What if my order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect?
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 3 days of delivery at support@royalfelineco.com.
Please include your order number and photos of the product and packaging. Once confirmed, we’ll make it right at no cost to you.
