1. Carefully remove the protective packaging from each piece. If using scissors or a knife, take care not to damage the wood or upholstered panels.

2. Place The Post upside down on a clean, soft surface.

3. Join the two base pieces using the included dowels, making sure the recessed bolt holes are on the same side.

4. Position the base over the bottom of The Post with the recessed bolt holes facing up.

5. Insert all four bolts and washers. Start each bolt loosely before tightening.

6. Fully tighten all four bolts using the included hex wrench.

7. Turn The Post upright and let the scratching begin.
